Certified Social EnterpriseBack ‘social enterprise for good’ in wake of pandemic

Silicawaters.com, a certified not-for-profit social enterprise for good, is part of a national campaign launching today (October 15) called “Buy Social” – raising awareness to get people to buy from social enterprises for good in the wake of the pandemic.

The campaign, running until to Saturday, is all about shining a spotlight on the positive impact social enterprises are having on communities across the UK.

Social enterprises are businesses which trade for a social and/or environmental purpose, re-investing the majority of their profits to support their mission. They are businesses set up with the sole intention to support communities, both in geographic terms as well as groups of individuals with a shared identity or challenge.

Silicawaters.com is exclusive in making available a unique artesian bottled mineral water rich in silica called “Acilis by Spritzer”, which is scientifically proven to remove neurotoxic aluminium from the body and boosts rejuvenating body collagen**.

Silicawaters’ director Rex Garratt said: “We already provide free samples and discounts to hundreds of families impacted by neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s and autism, while pledging a portion of profit to further scientific research.”

Peter Holbrook, Chief Executive at Social Enterprise UK said: “It’s now vital that social enterprises are placed at the heart of our recovery from the pandemic, so we can build back better in a way that is more equal and sustainable.  We can all play our part in growing the social enterprise movement and the best way to do this is to buy social because when you do, you are choosing communities.”
